Ringo Starr: Brexit “is a great move” [VIDEO]

As the United Kingdom and European Union work out a deal on the 2016 Brexit vote, rock and roll legend Ringo Starr is urging negotiators to get on with it.
In an interview with BBC’s Newsnight, the famed Beatle was puzzled about people going back on their promise to leave the European Union after having voted for it in June 2016.
“The people voted and, you know, they have to get on with it,” Starr said. “Suddenly, it’s like, ‘Oh well, we don’t like that vote.’ What do you mean you don’t like that vote? You had the vote, this is what won, let’s get on with it.”
When asked if he would’ve voted for Brexit, since he did not cast a ballot, he said, “I would have voted for Brexit. Yeah, I would have voted to get out.”
Why?
“I think it’s a great move,” the singer, songwriter, and drummer continued. “I think, you know, to be in control of your own country is a good move.”
