Hillary Clinton’s new excuse for her election loss? Manspreading [VIDEO]

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton believes that Vladimir Putin’s ‘manspreading’ contributed to her 2016 election loss during an interview promoting her new book What Happened?
Continuing her book tour, Clinton stopped by the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday and shared some of her experiences dealing with the Russian president. She thinks the way he sat contributed to his dislike of her and led to him sabotaging her chances of becoming the 45th President of the United States.
“I don’t take it personally, I think it’s part of his worldview, which is all tied up with his anger, his disappointment in the collapse of the Soviet Union, and his feelings that we’re his number one rival,” Clinton said. She also thought that “partly because I’m a woman, which does seem to get him a bit agitated.”
Going all in on how Putin was sexist towards her, she said, “He demonstrated it, as I write in the book, there’s an expression — we certainly know it in New York — called ‘manspreading.’”
She then gestured by spreading her legs apart saying that’s what happened “every time they met.”
Clinton explained that she wouldn’t simply “go away” because of how the Russian interfered with the 2016 election.
Colbert asked for clarification, “To what degree? Influencing the vote or influencing opinion?”
“Influencing voters, and, therefore, influencing opinion,” Clinton responded. “I don’t know what the special counsel investigation [is] going to find. I’m going to wait for that. But I don’t think anybody can, with a straight face, say that the Russians did not set out to influence our election. […] I feel like I’m a bit of a, you know, Paula Revere. I’m trying to sound the alarm about this.”
