Howard students to James Comey: “You’re not our homie!” [VIDEO]

Former FBI Director James Comey was heckled, booed, and jeered while attempting to deliver the keynote address at Howard University’s convocation on Friday.
The historically black university invited the former head of the FBI in August after he was fired by President Donald Trump in May and testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee in June. There, he was heckled by protesters who chanted “Get out James Comey! You’re not our homie!” and “No justice, no peace, no [expletive] police!”
Comey continued to interject by asking for permission to speak, “I hope you’ll stay and listen to what I have to say. […] I listened to you for five minutes.”
However, the protesters refused to be silenced. When Comey said, “be better than this,” the protesters responded with, “white supremacy is not a debate!”
Comey attempted to speak and slighted the protesters, saying, “I love the enthusiasm of the young folks. I just wish they would understand what a conversation is.” Audience members were complaining that they couldn’t hear the speech.
When the former FBI director was invited, Howard University President Wayne A.I. Frederick said that “His expertise and understanding of the challenges we continue to face today will go a long way in sparking rich discussion and advancing meaningful debates across campus.”
Comey’s firing may have led to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller to investigate the Trump campaign’s ties to the Russian government, but for some students at Howard as well as many liberals that was not enough.
