With the election in France and the possibility of a Fed rate hike later this month, traders might want tap the brakes just a bit. On top of that we have the Dem leadership hell bent on throwing a monkey wrench in any piece of legislation the Republican controlled Congress will come up with. When you add in the left leaning “shadow government” bureaucrats entrenched in the various agencies, change will be resisted from within to protect their own turf. At some point the “slow walking” Dem’s coupled with the way things have always been done in Washington will make the task of “draining the swamp” difficult at best. A good chunk of our rally was based on the expectation of “repeal and replace”, cutting overly burdensome, complex and costly inefficient regulations, a joint public/private infrastructure spending plan and tax reform. Oh yeah…let’s not forget border enforcement!
If things aren’t going as smoothly as many of us would like, you can’t blame it all on the left wing media or the Democratic Party and their sympathizers. Some of the responsibility is squarely on Trump and his inability to control his twittle dee twitter dumb addiction. I’m reminded of the Jim Carey line, “Somebody Stop Me!!!” Is it really necessary and if it ain’t true, don’t say it!!! It’s not Presidential to spout off every time you get bent out of shape by what someone says. I’d have more respect if he asked someone to get in the ring with him and have at it, but that would take courage and guts. So you see, for all of you who thought I was “in the tank” for the Donald…only when he acts like a man and not some school yard bully who needs to be punched out.
We need to get a lot done to improve this country. Conservatives seem to be on the right track and Trump could lead the way, but he needs to get his act together and rise above the fray.
